April 2007 - The leading manufacturer of trimmed beach timber products with
the most efficient and largest lumber mills for deciduous wood in Europe
commissioned their new factory in Aschaffenburg. The plant is one of the most
modern plants of this kind and also includes a two-effect falling-film forced
circulation evaporation plant for the concentration of condensate from wood
vaporization delivered by GEA Wiegand. In the evaporation plant which is heated
by fresh steam, up 10 tons of vaporization condensate are concentrated from 1 %
to 55 % per hour, the evaporation vapor can be re-used for the timber
vaporization, the concentrates can also be used in the process. In this way, a
particularly economical and environmentally friendly circuit could be realized.
GEA Wiegand's experience gained in former orders with similar waste
waters were of great advantage. The customer ordered already the second plant
of this type.
The responsible project manager Mr. Praschak reported
that in this way it was possible to hand over the plant performing full
capacity after a very short commissioning period.
