The customer operates a three-effect GEA Wiegand falling film evaporation plant with thermal vapour recompression for the concentration of fructose from 26 % to 90 %. Apart from the energy-efficient design of the evaporation which is a common feature for GEA Wiegand plants, the sophisticated control conception has to be especially mentioned without which a concentration up to crystallization limit would not be possible at all.
