May 2008 - These days the installation of the new GEA Wiegand bioethanol production plant will be started to schedule in Zolotonosha, Cherkasy-region in Ukraine.

GEA Wiegand successfully passed the first milestones in the manufacturing process of the bioethanol plant ordered by KoronAgro. Already after a short period of time all essential documents for the currently largest GEA Wiegand bioethanol plant under construction were prepared.

The main components for milling, fermentation, distillation and drying are ordered with sister companies in the GEA Group or with qualified manufacturers, and the manufacture in the company's workshop is in full swing. The first heavy transport with the mash column has already been handled. Other 18 transports with columns and evaporators will follow in short intervals.

The main responsible persons of KoronAgro and GEA Wiegand are confident that thus the commissioning can be started to schedule at the beginning of next year. GEA Wiegand will deliver the complete process technology for a plant which in its final extension will produce 380,000 l/day of bioethanol.

KoronAgro will be the first company to produce bioethanol in Ukraine.
