May 2007 - The economic expansion of China is uninterrupted.
This also became apparent on the occasion of the ACHEMASIA 2007 where - for the first time - the number of Chinese exhibitors was larger than that of German exhibitors. In this context, the ACHEMASIA is gaining importance. Madame Gu Xiulian, Vice Chairwoman of NPC Standing Committee, appreciated this fact by visiting the fair on the occasion of its inauguration. During her traditional exhibition round tour she visited the stand of GEA Wiegand and was impressed by the activities and the commitment of the GEA Group AG in China which exhibited on a common stand with a total of twelve companies.
Apart from the standard range of evaporation plants GEA Wiegand presented the latest development with regard to energy saving, using mechanical vapor recompressors, which - in the context of climate protection - of course arouses growing interest also in China.
