March 2007 – Our customer has been Norway's leading producer of potato products for over 120 years and has also been producing alcohol.
"In former plants, we only can produce raw alcohol. After commissioning of our new plant we will be able to supply the market with purest alcohol", states the CFO of the company in a newspaper interview. This is possible thanks to the 4-effect distillation and rectification plant delivered by GEA Wiegand which has just been installed successfully. The commissioning of the plant with a capacity of 16,000 liters of alcohol per day is scheduled for April. This plant is another support of GEA Wiegand's excellent position in Europe, also as supplier of potable alcohol plants.
