December 2006 – GEA Wiegand proves its leading position as a plant construction company for bioethanol. After a short project time the company KoronAgro Limited from the Ukraine has been convinced by the technical capabilities and placed an order for a multimillion bioethanol plant.
GEA Wiegand will deliver the complete process technology for a plant producing 380,000 litres of bioethanol per day at its final expansion stage. The commissioning has been scheduled for mid 2008. The company KoronAgro Limited will be the first producer of bioethanol in the Ukraine.
The decisive factor was once more the technical leadership, which the company impressively can demonstrate on one of the largest bioethanol plants operated in Germany. Moreover the company's competence in the fields of financing and service and the strong position of trust as a member of an international group, the GEA Group AG, have convinced the customer finally.
