July 1998 -GEA Wiegand is pleased to say that, in the anniversary year 1998,
the fruit juice industry placed many orders, in particular for plants for the
concentration of apple juice, most of which have already been delivered and
successfully commissioned.
These plants consist of 2 to 6-effect
pre-evaporators with 3 to 5 effect high concentrators for feed quantities
ranging from 45 to 50 tons/hr for the concentration of red juice and apple
juice to a final concentration of 65° and 72° Brix. All plants are equipped
with an aroma recovery system, and they are automatically controlled by a
monitor system.
The main customer countries were Poland and Turkey. GEA
Wiegand has now gained significant market shares in these countries.
