Gelatin is a high-value natural product which is recovered from animal
substances. After a chemical pretreatment, the initial product is extracted in
hot water. The gelatine solution recovered in this way is then filtered,
concentrated, sterilized, and finally dried. Both plate evaporators and tube
evaporators are used for the concentration.
