With its modern pilot plants and test benches our R & D Center is
optimally equipped for testing in the fields of evaporation, distillation and
membrane technologies.
Most pilot plants are of a portable type so that
they can be transported to our customers for on-site testing directly on their
premises. In this case the plants can be controlled and monitored by a Remote
Control System.
Our physico-chemical laboratory is designed to
determine and evaluate important physical characteristics such as viscosity,
boiling point elevation, thermal conductivity and maximum final concentration.
The following pilot plants are available for testing:
- Various single-tube falling film evaporators with different tube lengths
and diameters
- 2-effect falling film evaporator for different arrangements on the product
and heating sides for the simulation of mechanical vapour recompression
- Forced circulation evaporator
- EVA compact evaporator
- Fluidised bed evaporator
- Fermentation plant for continuous fermentation/batch fermentation
- 250 mm distillation column with a choice of 13 sieve trays or 7 Thormann
trays
- Short path falling film evaporator
- Various membrane filtration plants for reverse osmosis, ultrafiltration,
nanofiltration and microfiltration, suitable for different types of membrane
materials and membrane types (stainless steel, ceramics or synthetic material,
as flat sheet, spiral or hollow fibre membranes)
