The GEA Wiegand manufacturing workshop is located in Kitzingen/Bayern. On an area of more than 50.000 m² a large part of our plants are constructed, assembled and prepared for dispatch.
Our highly trained personnel is experienced in the processing of materials such as Hastelloy, titanium, nickel, copper, copper alloys and austenitic steel.
We have also introduced a quality control system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001 to our manufacturing workshop and have received TÜV approval for the manufacture of equipment and vessels according to european pressure equipment directives.
A further independent quality control unit is responsible both during and following manufacture for ensuring that the equipment complies with the drawings and the design. Special non destructive tests are also carried out by means of our own equipment. These tests include X-ray and ultra sound testing, X-ray fluorescent analysis, leak and hydraulic testing, surface crack and hardness testing.
